COVID-19 Situation in Southeast Asia - 17 February 2020
Cambodia has remained a safe destination with no case of COVID-19 infection since the only one patient recovery. Cambodia has been applauded by the world as it allowed the MS Westerdam cruise ship to dock on 15 February. The US Ambassador to Cambodia and his family came to greet and talked to the passengers on the same day.
Our representative in Cambodia also made a video interviewing tourists at the most popular attraction site in Siem Reap, Angkor Complex. They all don’t worry about the coronavirus outbreak and they feel safe when travelling in Cambodia. You can find the video here
Up to today, 17 February, Vietnam has the same number of COVID-19 confirmed cases as Germany (16). Among these 16 confirmed cases, 7 were cured. And this number has been stable for the last 3 days. More videos of our on tour clients could be seen below:
Thailand has recorded one new case today, which takes the total number of patients to 35. But 15 of them have been discharged from hospitals so far.
