In Vietnam, more provinces announced to close their tourist sites and historical relics in an attempt to contain COVID-19.

In Thailand, 33 new cases of the coronavirus were reported on 16 March. This was the largest daily jump in infections since the outbreak began, bringing its total tally to 117. Today, Thai government proposes to temporarily close venues that attract crowds of more than 50 people and postpone the traditional Songkran New Year holiday.

Cambodia also imposed the ban on arrivals of citizens from US, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Iran as well as urging its people to refrain from travelling to Europe, the United States, and Iran to avoid Covid-19 pandemic.

On 15 March, Myanmar government issued a 14 days quarantine on arrival for citizens of the following nations AND for travellers having visited these countries: China, Italy, Iran, S-Korea, Spain, Germany, and France.

Temperature check is performed on any arrivals in Laos. Though, there is no ban on travellers of any nationality from entering Laos.
