COVID-19 Updates – March 23, 2020

From 22 March, the Vietnamese Government halted entry of all foreigners and oversea Vietnamese due to rapid and complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, all incoming travelers to Vietnam will be mandatory centralized quarantine for 14 days, applied since 21 March.

While Vietnam Airlines temporarily suspended all international flights within its network until 30 April, VietJet suspended its flights to major Southeast Asian destinations including Thailand from 20 March.

In Thailand, several airlines have temporarily suspended their international flights in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.

  • Bangkok Airways from 22 March until further notice
  • Thai Air Asia from 22 March to 25 April
  • Thai Lion Air from 18 March to 30 April

The Cambodian government announced the entry ban of foreigners from Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and the United States for a period of 30 days since 17 March.

Laos and Myanmar still have had no infected cases reported so far.
