New tour - Discover the world of amazing caves

5/16/2016 9:58:03 PM
Spectacular Son Doong Cave was first discovered by local explorer Ho Khanh in 1991, but it wasn’t until 2009 that a full survey was conducted by the British Cave Association. At 5km long, with stalagmites that would tower over multistory buildings and chambers that can fit an entire New York City block, Son Doong has since been named the largest cave in the world. Exploring Son Doong requires incredible fitness and endurance as the caving expedition takes the better part of a week, but in this program you can explore the other more accessible caves within the region. Still stunning in their own right, these caves will give you a feeling for the underground cave kingdom of Quang Binh Province. You’ll also get the opportunity to meet Vietnam’s most famous cave explorer, Ho Khanh, who will tell you about the journey of discovery that lead him to Son Doong Cave and Paradise Grotto.
